I have arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with my fellow travelers and we have been chilling at the hostel and the beach ever since we landed. The weather is perfect - it's early spring so it's in the 80s during the day and not too humid. People here are laid back and there are parties every night, Rio seems to be hopping at all hours.
I am excited for class to start on Monday - I hate having nothing to do even if it's nothing to do on Copacabana beach. We are going to be talking about modeling atmosphere and ocean interactions but other than that no one really knows what to expect because Nathan hasn't given us a syllabus.
I definitely need to take more pictures - I am going to take a day to just walk around and take pictures, but for now I only have pics of the hostel. Ciao for now!
