flooding, etc.

There was a little snow over the weekend, which was exciting... but Seattle is back to what it does best: Rain. Lots and lots of rain. There is some major river flooding and Seattle is getting its share of urban flooding: This morning all the storm drains in my neighborhood were not just flooding, but spurting like geysers. There is also an appreciable lake on Campus Parkway under the University Bridge that is causing buses to be rerouted. I got completely soaked after ten minutes in the rain, but at least it has warmed up a good 15 degrees from Saturday - this rain has its origins in the tropics.
